WAR ZEN

WAR ZEN is a Comic written by Warsen and illustrated by the Spanish drawer Lem Castaneda. The story portrays Warsen´s years of living alone in the countryside, going through an existential crisis and reflecting over former and present spiritual and creative guides and mentors. The story can be understood through the psychologist Carl Gustav Jung's theories, who also appears in the comic, where the world is full of archetypes who live simultaneously, dead or alive, throughout what they represent and make us perceive and reflect upon.

Here we will find Jesus Christ reincarnated in poets like Sarah Kane, Vladimir Majakovskij or Arthur Rimbaud, the greek god Zeus himself appearing as a therapist and comic illustrator, film directors like Pier Paolo Pasolini turned into buddhist saints, side by side with pop icons and characters from the Spanish music scene.
